It is often asked, from an office cubicle to the executive penthouse suite, or from apartments to multi million dollar mansions, people are always trying to carve out spaces that they can call their own. The outside world may be a stressful place, but inside these special spaces we like to call our own, people strive to create the most positive environments where they can live and or work happily and in peace. This may seem like a fairy tale to some. But for others, it is a way to survive the negative effects of what can be a stressful life. It is said that the speed at which technology would develop and be introduced would in the end overwhelm many people. This may or may not be true, only you can say in your own experience.
So, how would one describe a positive environment?
Some architects, planners, interior designers, and Feng Shui consultants have been addressing the issue of creating peaceful and positive environments for years, most of us are just beginning to investigate these possibilities. Ways to turn up the 'positive feeling' of a space, that would appeal to one or more of our senses at the same time, may include: A water fountain made of various materials. Add a contemporary painting or sculpture. Light chimes or bells. You can maybe add some Potpourri, and aromatherapy. Then you have Plants and or flowers that will brighten your day. The situations perceived by the brain as positive gives people a sense of well-being. When we are in this state, sometimes called euphoria, the domino effect often occurs. People become open to more positive stimuli. Concentration and performance improves. Your self-confidence and self-assurance starts to soar. Creativity blossoms. And handling stress becomes a bit easier. Use these tips as a guide to creating your own space; one of inner peace, and you just may live longer.
