Atlanta Weather

Atlanta, born from a slumbering city whose icon was a meeting of Peachtree streets, has vaulted into the league of international travel destinations and a special source of inspiration for African Americans. It has gained the interest of the 1996 Summer Olympics not only due to its world class airport, freeway and transit infrastructure, numerous hotels, trend setting restaurants, and history of interracial partnership, but also because of its welcoming weather. With these factors, which I prefer to call “assets of Atlanta”, it’s no wonder that Atlanta city has been winning best city awards and continually attracts 17 million visitors every year. “Hotlanta”, as it is commonly called, is in fact considered as the number one destination of the Black travelers and for good reason.

Speaking of Atlanta weather, it is worthy to note that being situated in the Appalachian foothills interspersed with flatlands, the temperature often dips just below 32 degrees from the month of December to February, specifically in mid-December to mid-February. Also, the humidity at this place is what triggers the heat index to exceed a hundred especially in the month of July and August. However, most Atlanta weather reports have noted that Atlanta seldom reaches the humidity extremes of coastal cities though. Otherwise, the Atlanta weather is identified by being mild most of the year. The city particularly gets about 75 days of rain, with frequent thunderstorms in the spring season.

Now, if you want to find an Atlanta weather forecast after I have mentioned all those Atlanta weather facts, then you should know that there are a lot of Atlanta weather forecasts out there that can provide you detailed information regarding the weather or the climate in Atlanta and its suburbs.
